Much of our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) education starts from a foundation of facts and known answers. This teaches our kids that the point of STEM is to Get The Right Answer, whereas the actual point of real world STEM disciplines is to fix things, understand things, and solve problems.
In Episode 5, Science is Solved, we look at the problems with both academia and science education in schools, and explore how they contribute to problems with the public perception of science.
