Episode 2 of the Raising Heretics: Teaching Kids to Change the World Podcast contains the second half of the introduction, and explores why Data Science Education can teach kids to be rational, ethical, creative, heretical problem solvers.
Raising Heretics, the book, is a blueprint for an evidence based world, and a radically more engaging and effective education system. What would an evidence based world look like? How can we get there? What’s wrong with the way we teach science and all of the STEM subjects? How can we teach our kids to be ethical, creative, rational problem solvers? Raising Heretics explores all of these questions, and proposes a way forward that empowers our kids to make positive change in their own communities.
This podcast is essentially an audio version of the book. I hope that you will engage with the ideas in the book. Challenge them. Question them. Share them. And support our work at givenow.com.au/adsei/
The podcast is currently also available on Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Google Play, and Pocketcasts coming soon!
